Aphrodisias…

2 pics… One from Tetrapylon, the other from Theatre. From Aphrodisias…

When we were in Denizli for meeting, we visited one of the most beautiful historical places in Turkey. Just for 2 hours.

This ancient city of Aphrodisias is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Greek and Roman periods in Turkey. The name Aphrodisias is came from Aphrodite, the goddess of nature, beauty, love and plenty. Aphrodisias’ history begins a long and prosperous existence from the first century B.C. through the sixth century A.D.

Today, many of the monuments remain standing, and EXCAVATIONS have unearthed numerous fine marble statues and other artifacts.  I really impressed. The only thing that is unpleasent, was the colder weather!

I  search and found that this archaeological research at Aphrodisias is sponsored by the
Institute of Fine Arts in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts and Science of New York University.

I can advise that you have to see this beauty especially in warmer season..

At 06:38..

have a good week.

Next 3 Days…

…I’ll be out of the city..

We’ll have a meeting of “Hospital’s Medical Advisory Board” in Denizli-Pamukkale..

I wish you all a very good weekend.. See you on Monday:))

Activities for this Month..

On March, unfortunately I didn’t have time to see movies or I couldn’t go to swimming as I planned on my Resolution List!! (2 movies and 1 time for swimming)

Instead, generously, I spent all my time after work for going out for dinner or fun! (Spring Effect)

For instance, I explored new places like Nezih

We went to Turkish Bath with my friends.. (It was really relaxing. Came like a detox!)

After that, we went to Castle of Ankara for Saturday breakfast. Turkish Pancakes with cheese and potatos, çay, fresh orange juice and mixing of sliced tomatos and green pepper with olive oil and tyme.. I’ve really suprised when I was in abroad; Actually, I couldn’t find any other countries to compare our breakfast habit and meals. I love ours….

I also met with friends for eating sea foods and went our traditional place, which is simple but nice, Laterna. It is a greek tavern and you can found it on Tunus street. Other place that I liked much is Zarife. It ıs on Bestekar Street. There are lovely homemade cook.
As you see, I couldn’t cook more at my place on March.

Dear Hatice from www.portakalagaci.com. I love your site, love your receipts but never put into practise nowadays:)) What can I do??
